As we've mentioned before, mobile Warhammer games have really improved since Games Workshop started licensing the IP to other developers. New iOS Games and Apps of the Week: 32-bit apocalypse and more

Game of Thrones Conquest

Now that Apple has officially announced its iPhone 8 keynote for Sept. 12 the 32-bit apocalypse is right around the corner. In case you missed the memo, iOS 11 will no longer support 32-bit apps. This means any apps on your device not upgraded with 64-bit support will no longer work once iOS 11 is released. Apple is expected to launch the new firmware alongside the iPhone 8 on September 12th.

As we've discussed before, some apps are already being pulled from the App Store, while others, like Duke Dashington, are being remastered. Touch Arcade has been keeping an eye on what apps will not be making the transition to 64-bit, and you can also check your own devices to see what apps won't be supported.

The invite doesn't specify what will be discussed during the keynote, but it is likely that Tim Cook and team will finally reveal the rumored iPhone 8.

Classic puzzle platformer Duke Dashington is being remastered

Duke Dashington

A lot of games are being left behind due to the upcoming 32-bit apocalypse, but some are being updated with 64-bit architecture support, while others are being totally rebuilt from the ground up. One game being remastered for iOS 11 is Duke Dashington, according to Touch Arcade.

Duke Dashington follows a bumbling adventurer who keeps accidentally collapsing the ancient ruins he is exploring. In the game, players must collect as much treasure as possible and reach the exit in 10-seconds before Duke is squashed.

Reigns: Her Majesty

The follow-up to Radiation Island is now available on the Apple App Store. Radiation City is a crafting/survival game that takes place forty years after an unfortunate accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The game is played from a first-person perspective where you must scavenge and craft to survive. The controls are bit clunky and there is a lot to learn, but it's a decent enough title once you get the hang of it.
