RadioShack Giving Away $100 Gift Card With Purchase of iPad mini [Deals]

RadioShack is offering a $100 gift card with the purchase of a first-generation iPad mini. The promotion only applies to 16GB Wi-Fi models and is only available in stores. RadioShack did not give a specific date for the end of the promotion, but did say it is available for a "limited time this holiday season." This suggests the promotion will probably end around the 24th or 25th of December, unless the retailer decides to extend it.

RadioShack is also offering up to $350 towards the purchase of a new tablet when you trade in an eligible iPad through its Trade & Save program. However, as we demonstrated before, most retailer trade in programs offer a lot less money for used Apple products than companies like Nextworth.com or Gazelle.com. Not to mention these companies offer cash, so you're not stuck with another store-branded gift card when you sell your used device.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Only $5 for a Limited Time

The classic RPG Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is $5 for a limited time for the iPad. Publisher Aspyr Media has cut the price in half in celebration of the game's 10th anniversary. KOTOR was originally developed by BioWare and published by LucasArts for the Xbox and PC in 2003, before being ported to the iPad in 2013. The game's graphics are a little underwhelming by today's standards, but Knights of the Old Republic is still considered one of the best Star Wars RPG games ever created for consoles and computers.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

The game takes place 4,000 years before the rise of the Galactic Empire. Players must search the galaxy for information about the "Star Forge" while piecing together their character's past. The game also features two endings based on a player's decisions in the game. You can either choose to be a savior of the Jedi, or turn to the dark side and join the Sith.

iPad mini Only $300 at Walmart [Deals]

Retailers seem to be clearing out iPads. Best Buy has put the iPad 3 on clearance, and now Walmart is selling the iPad mini for only $300. That's $30 less than buying it directly from Apple. This is also the lowest price we have seen for the 7.9-inch tablet since it was released last year.

iPad mini Deals

While this a good deal, you should remember that Apple is rumored to be working on an upgraded version of the iPad mini which could be released soon. However, the iPad mini 2 is only expected to get a small bump in the specs department, like better resolution, an upgraded processor, and more RAM. The next-generation device may also see a slight increase in cost. So if price is your main concern, you may want to take advantage of this sale now.

That's cheaper than buying a refurbished model from Apple, and it's not a bad deal considering the iPad 3 specs are not that different from the fourth-generation tablet.

The iPad 3 was released on March 16, 2012, but was quickly discontinued after the iPad 4 was released eight months later. The iPad 3 features a Retina display like its successor, and Apple's A5X processor.
