New iOS Games and Apps of the Week: Civilization VI and more

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI was released for Mac via Steam just in time for Apple's MacBook Pro refresh. The new MacBook Pro won't be available for a few weeks, but you can pre-order it starting today through Aspyr also announced this week that it is working on a Mac Store version of the strategy game, in case you don't have a Steam account.

Lots of games have received Halloween updates this week, including Hitman: Sniper, PewDiePie's Tuber Simulator and King Rabbit. Another horror title besides Scott Cawthon's Sister Location has been delayed for iOS but has made its way to Steam. The 80s slasher puzzle game Slayaway Camp is now available for all Steam platforms including macOS. It is unknown when Slayaway Camp will be released to the App Store, but an iOS version was promised.

Here are some more titles released to the App Store this week:

  • Dexter Slice ($2.99) The sspiritual successor to the popular 2010 release Slice HD for the tenth anniversary of Dexter.
  • The Lost Shield ($1.99) Brick break/adventure game. You play as a hero who must return a powerful but dangerous magic shield to the place it belongs.
  • Sticky Boots (Free) Sticky Boots is a diabolically difficult platformer that will test your wits as you navigate the universe. Test your reflexes and your ability to adapt as you learn the ins and outs of every level. Conquer each planet to unlock the next phase of your epic adventure!
  • Tap and Hop (Free) Bite-sized mobile game for your "waiting" moments. Its very easy mechanics will get you playing in no time.
