Accessory maker Logitech has launched its first iPad accessories under its new product line Logi. The new BLOK line is made up of three protective cases for the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini. The cases include the Logi BLOK Protective Shell, the Logi BLOK Protective Case and the Logi BLOK Protective Keyboard Case.
Logitech says the goal of its new BLOK cases is to "redefine the protective category" by focusing on impact protection. Every BLOK case is designed to disperse and absorb the force of impact at the weakest part of your iPad -- the corners. Logitech claims each case can withstand falls from as far as 6 feet, even on hard surfaces like concrete. The cases were also designed to compliment the form factor of the iPad, without adding unnecessary bulk like other cases on the market. Here's a quick look at the new Logi BLOK lineup. All three cases are currently available for pre-order through logitech.com.
The Logi BLOK Protective Shell weighs less than six ounces and it promises to deliver "shock-absorbing protection with minimal bulk". It is available in black or teal/blue for $39.99. It is available for the iPad Air 2, iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 3.
The Logi BLOK Protective Case incorporates all the the features of the BLOK Shell with the addition of a multi-angle stand. It is available in black, teal/blue or red/violet for $69.99. The BLOK Protective Keyboard Case features Logitech's BLOK absorbant shell, the any-angle stand, plus a detachable Bluetooth keyboard. It is available for $129.99. Both the Protective Case and Keyboard Case only support the iPad Air 2.
The BLOK Protective Shell ships with a screen protector, and the Protective Case and Keyboard Case include a liquid repellent cover to protect against accidental spills.
All three models will begin shipping in August.
