Remote images loading in email can cause a few problems on with your iOS devices. They can eat up your limited data plan and alert companies and spammers when you open an email. Luckily you can disable remote images on your iPad and iPhone running iOS 6.0 or later. Here's how:
1. Navigate to the Settings app on your device
2. Scroll down and tap the Mail, Contacts, Calendars panel
3. Tap the Load Remote Images slider so it is OFF/WHITE
Now images won't load in any email you open on your iPad or iPhone. To view images in an email just scroll down within the email and tap the Load All Images option. There is no option to open individual images within an email when the Load Remote Images is disabled.
